I have a Q6600 machine with an ATI 2400 HD... Currently it is running Linux with 2 SMP Clients.... would it be more worth it to keep itrunning to mp clients in linux or switching back to Win Vista and running the GPU2 Client + and SMP Client?

I'm not sure that a 2400 vid card will make the deadlines.
If it does, then its only a couple hundred PpD extra.
So probably not worth the hassle of switching to Vista.

Luck .......... :D

+1

Keep that CPU going and keep the vista install $$ for bigger and better GPU in the future

Currently ...

Vista + GPU2 is having some issues.

GPU2 + ATI will use 30%-38%.

If you try and run an WIN SMP .... the SMP will suffer big time ......
I learned this the hard way yesterday ...

XP does not suffer from this problem.
With time, Vista will get better with ATI core just like the nVidia core did..

Running a VM in vista might be a way to go, Tigerbiten would be the person to see about that..... he has a guide posted for VM setups
