Saw this on /.

Watch as your Video Card out does a 3.2 GHZ P4 using a sorting algorithm.

Can't wait till someone figures out how to fold on a 7800GTX

You can download the program and run it. Currently it only supports NVIDIA cards (probably because of the 32-bit precision), however ATI support is on the way (They were able to do some 24-bit sorts).

May not be useful in any sort of a review, but interesting none the less.
 
What I want to see is .jpg .gif .png .bmp or any image - Interpolation when zooming into 2D images. Its the perfect task for a DX9 GPU which is otherwise dormant in those situations.

2D image quality has been greatly ignored in the last few years IMO.

IE: Like when using Fontsizes of 192 dpi or higher, and regediting UseHR=1 to double the screensize. I'm pretty sure we will see it in Longhorn along with perfect scaling, but I'd like to see it show up for XP too.
