a fine day to die.

edit: Nevermind this post, i did put the case in the fs/ft section if anyone is interested..

Sorry about the lack of updates. Damned NCIX still does not have the A-05 in stock.

Great choice of case. :) I'm too modding this case right now, see here, if you're intersted. I love this case. :D

Alright, long overdue update, with progress (sort of)

NCIX went from "3-5 days for this case" to "special order" status on the case. So, until I can get one, the project is on hold.

Luckly, n00btard here gave me his old Coolermaster Centurion 5 (thanks man), so, new project time!

Standby for minor updates.

First, mark out locations for everything, and the direction everything goes.

DSC00341.JPG

Drill out the rivets for the top cover. This is critical to what I'm planning on.

Followed by Wire management hole

DSC00343.JPG

And a wire management slot.

Restrictive fan grille, good bye. You are not needed.

Restrictive fan grille, good bye. You are not needed.

correction: "What was left of the restrictive fan grille..."

and you can see the sharpie marks I put over the standoff holes when I was still my screen name and didn't realise that the standoff locations for different motherboard form factors were actually on the tray :p

Next step: Strip the bezel.

Removing the covers, and a strange piece of plastic I found behind the mesh

The bezel mesh. I have a plan.

Aluminum Foil Tape the big holes on the side.

DSC00349.JPG

Oops, masked the wrong side. This one is right.

And the back was aluminum foil taped for a solid backing.

The right sidepanel (upside down case) will have a small rectangular window with rounded corners, and in handwriting, "a fine day to die", engraved into the case (or cut into the case).

I like # 7 in red. :D

I sorta put this off a long time ago. And by put off, I mean gave up.

Maybe next year..
