A deadly black issue...

I just built a work/school computer using some new parts and some old parts I found around my house. As the topic says-- the issue is... everything is black.

Following specifications...

Antec Black Case <-- New.
Sparkle 250 W PSU <-- Old.
Athlon XP 2400+ <-- Found this one.
Asrock K7S41GX <-- New.
Elixer 512 MB DDR PC-3200 <-- Found this one.
Maxtor 20 GB HDD <-- Old.
GeForce 4 MX440 <-- Old.
Regular CD-RW (24 x 12 x 24) <-- Old.

I set it all up properly, wired clean and such. I press the power button. It works. The fans roar with life. And the case stampedes with power (I'm just exaggerating). But... something happens. My monitor says "ERROR SIGNAL"... There's no video output? Everything seemed to work, until I heard this faint beeping. Three beeps every time. Beep beep beep *pause.....* beep beep beep *pause....* beep beep beep *pause....* repeat. Oh no. Something wrong went on. I tried to look up the manual to find out what could the three beeps mean but I had found nothing in the book (seems like a very simple book). Any help is appreciated.

I looked up the beep code definitions and I got this

3 beeps: Base 64K RAM failure

Explanation: There is a failure of some sort within the first 64 KB of system memory.

Diagnosis: The first bank of memory probably has a bad memory chip in it somewhere. It is possible that there is a failure related to the motherboard or a system device as well.

Try a different stick of ram.
 
Yep, it indeed is memory. Replaced Elixer with Corsair XMS 512 MB stick. Perfect pass. Thanks.
