Hello,

There have been many, many CPUs released by Intel and AMD; not all are listed on their respective sites; not all are listed anywhere. Frazzled by AMD's and now Intel's use of model numbers? You are not alone. There have been so many repeats of model numbers thats its hard to keep track of what chip you have by just its name.

To alleviate all this confusion and to hopefully make a comprehensive reference that is useful to everyone, I started a wiki, known as CPUReference, at http://endeavour.zapto.org/cpu/

The goal is to eventually index all x86-32 and x86-64 CPUs, from Intel, AMD, and all the rest. If you are interested in helping contribute or just curious please go on over and take a look.

Went ahead and updated the Opteron page to include dual cores. Seems like a good idea, although Wikipedia already has a TON of info itself.
