Looking to build an HTPC/gaming hybrid (I know, I know) and my biggest hole in the build is settling on a good uATX motherboard.
My thoughts thus far:
Any thoughts on a case/motherboard that could fit the bill?
My thoughts thus far:
- I've decided to go Intel with a 3Ghz C2D.
- I'm probably going to put 2 GB of some DD2-800 CAS4 in there
- I'm going to run an 8800 GTS 512Mb
- High speed smaller capacity drive, as most media will be stored on a network server
- Noise should be a low as possible considering the hardware involved. 80mm+ fans only
- uATX cases seem to often come with low power PSUs. This is probably not going to cut it. I have a full size ATX BFG 650W PSU I'd like to use.
- I'd like eSATA support on the rear plate
- I'd prefer to NOT have integrated graphics since I won't be using it, but it's not a deal breaker
- A small-ish uATX desktop-style case that could fit into a home theater setup would be nice, but I don't want it to cost more than $150 or so. Less than $100 would be even better.
