I saw this video a long time ago, it's still awesome though. I remember I even thought it was real for the first couple seconds. This video wasn't made by amateurs, it was made by a company called The Embassy Visual Effects. If you go to their site you can see that they've done some pretty high class stuff including the Dark Angel promo video.
