Using Catalyst 4.7 drivers and I am getting little white and other colored specs on rendering objects. For example someone will be walked and they will have those little specs on them at random spots moving around. I can see the person but they have these specs on them. Not sure if this is a common thing. Playing on high at 1280x1024. Tried modifying all the settings in the game but nothing really helps it. Any suggestions? Anyoen else having this problem?

You overclocking? I get that when my clock is too high. I just lower it and it goes away.

actually, im not overclocking and overdrive isnt enabled...i hope my card isnt defective. I dont ever remember having this problem before.

Your GPU is running at a frequency that is unable to handle Doom III. Basically, I guess you need to find a way to underclock your core just a bit.... I had the same problem with my 9800 Pro overclocked to XT speeds. For me, it was just a simple BIOS flash to back my core speeds back down to pro, while leaving the memory speed bumped up - fixed the 'snow' issue.... bummer dude

Thats the problem Im getting, the "snowy" effect. But if Im having this problem then every 9800xt user shoudl be having teh same problem no? theres got to be an easier fix. Something. Any suggestions please, this is incredibly annoying. thanks in advance

Sorry to heat that mate!
I am currently running 9800XT with overdrive on (otherwise stock) and it has been a perfect gaming experience with no artifacts/snow or whatsoever.
I have the Cat 4.8 beta installed with DirectX 9.0c

and btw, I will be getting my evga 6800Ultra TOMORROW!!! :)

i got a 9800pro flashed to XT and i've been fine. DX9.0c, and Cat4.8 beta
