hey i just bought a 9800 pro on this site, and im wondering if i will see a HUGE difference in games like hl2,doom3.... from my old card which is 9600 256mb

My current specs

2400+ @ 2.0
512 crucial pc 2700
9600 256mb
 
you should see big diff

I had a 9600XT prior to the 9800 and the switch was a noticable one, from a 9600 plain to a 9800 should be even more
 
yeah im thinking of upgrading my cpu 2400+ isnt going to do it anymore :x
 
That 2400+ will be ok for a while.

But if you ever run into an extra 250 bucks, Go with a budget A64 cpu/mobo combo like mine. ;) Way worth it.


Oh and have fun with double the preformance or more! :)
 
just overclock ur 2400+ to 2800+ speeds and you should be fine
