Hey everyone,
My friend has a 9800 pro, ati brand, well he was moving his computer and broke off one of the capacitors or something. Well it doesnt work anymore. It is still undery warranty by like 4 years, but he doesnt want to mess with it. Ati said they would repair it, all i need to do is send it in. He offered to sell it to me for $80 and my nVidia 5600 256mb card. So it is a card and cash, all i need to do is send it in to be fixed. Is that a good deal, or is $80 to much for a card that will be repaired for free? Also I just got a Dell 2005fpw, which is awesome by the way, and my current 5600 is having trouble keeping up at the native rez of 1680x1050. I play CSS, UT2K4, WoW, a little Doom 3 and Far Cry. How will the 9800 pro run at that rez with like 4aa/4af? I only need it to get like 60, anything higher i cant notice. I can oc it a little, but how will it run stock at 1680x1050?
Thanks.
