I just bought and installed a vga silencer because I wanted to overclock my card and get better far cry performance. I ran ATI tool for an hour on both core and mem and found my max overclock to be 450/378.

Here is my question. I have played Far Cry and UT2004 and they play flawlessly at this OC. I am new to video card overclocking and I don't want to damage my card because I am starting college and I don't have money to buy a new one. :( Will this do any long term damage to my card if I run it at this speed 24/7? I will be using it for probobly six more months then my parents will buy my whole system and I will buy a new one. :D I don't want it to die a year after my parents get it because they keep their systems for a long time. ( they are still using a 600 MHz athlon with a voodoo 3)

Thanks alot for your help.
