Ok as I've read and been told Doom 3, the like most talked about game in recent history (tm)

,is very distrubed by overclocking the video card. Well I'm wondering what has been people's experience who have played D3 on a card that that has been modded to an XT either at default Pro speeds or stock XT speeds?

Any artifacting problems etc etc?


Oh as well as I'm at it now does anyone know (haven't looked at it since my system is dead right now :( ) if doing a pro to XT soft mod will allow the temp monitor to work, since that all I really want right now.
 
With the stock Pro bios, ATItool found my max OC to be 450/380. I didn't try again with the XT bios, but I have to drop it down to 445/380 for artifact-free Doom3.

Your card needs the XT PCB before you can use the temperature monitoring feature. I have a thermal diode slipped between the shim and my waterblock.
 
What video card do you have? (like which manufacturer) also, make sure you pop off the heatsink and make sure it is an R360 core before you flash.
 
I'm not going to try and flash it a BBA card I was hoping that I could try by driver modding (if its possible) I'm not going to do anything warrenty voding until I get another card or Job.

Thanks for the info aout doom anyone else with experience?
