9800 Pro install problem. Need a hand.

Hi All,

I've had a few different 9800's in my machine over the last year, but I got a different one tonight so I could give Doom 3 a try. When I install it, XP finds it and does everything normally, but then it finds a 2nd 9800 pro and labels it, "9800 pro secondary". I can't permantly unistall it as it finds it again after a reboot. Its jacking my framerates in Doom 3. At 640x480 in low quality I get 27fps on a 2.8c with 1gig of ram. Any help with this would be appreciated. I can't really even play the game. Its like my framerates are being cut in half because of this "secondary" card, but I can't figure out what's going on. Any help would be appreciated.

Are you serious? The secondary 9800 you are talking about is for the multi monitor it is normal.
 
the secondary monitor has got nothing to do with your framerates...
dont worry abt it.
 
Ok, I guess I never remembered having a secondary 9800 in there before. Can anyone explain why my framerates are absolutely terrible then on this kind of a system? I can't get over 27 FPS regardless of what graphical setting I'm using. I guess I'll try other drivers or settings, but any suggestions would be appreciated.
