9800 Pro for now?

HI all

I have a chance to pick up a 9800 Pro 256 for a good price and wonder if it will boost my framerates much in games like Lock On, IL2, Far Cry, Doom3 and HL2?

Here is my current setup
P4 2.4
512 DDR333
Radeon 9600 Pro 128
WinXP Pro SP2
SB Live Value!
80G WD HD

id get it... anything could help. I had an 8500 and got a raedon 9600 from sapphire and although it may not make anyones head turn it makes my games run WAAAY better.
 
it will be a good upgrade. if you were to buy anything faster ( and more expensive ) your system would be a bottleneck to the card. with the 9800 it will be a better, cheaper, balance to your system.
 
ive got a 9800pro, great value for money. you can flash it to an xt, and then overclock it even further. some people have managed to break 7k in 3dmark03 with water cooling and a good cpu. im getting 6.8k, with an athlonxp 2800+ at 239x10, and a 9800pro flashed to an xt @ 442/760. its a great card.
