98 on sata?

if i took an ide hard drive that has 98 on it, and transfered all of the files on it to the sata hard drive, would 98 boot?
 
Probably not, but don't quote me on that.

Depends on if the SATA controllers can run with standard default 98 IDE drivers, and my guess is that they can not.

If your SATA controller manufacturer makes a driver for Win 98 then it would work, if not then no :)
