Im looking to upgrade my GF4 ti4200 to a 9700 Pro or 9800 Pro. My friend is looking to upgrade to a 9800 pro from a 9700 pro and he would sell me his 9700 for $75. Is the difference in performance worth and extra $135 ($210 sapphire 9800pro)?

well, you can do this: buy the 9700P for $75, and then sell it to me for $90 :p

i hope that answers your question. if it doesnt, here's what i meant to say: GOOD DEAL, GET THE 9700 . the performance difference is NOT worth an extra $135. Save your $$

Im pretty sure thats what im going to be doing. Was just wondering if others would do that same. thanks for the quick replies

I would definetly go for the 9700pro, infact that's about what I did except instead of $75 I got it for $80.

Get the 9700 Pro.

Damn I spent $365 on mine when it came out and you're getting it for $75:(

If you were buying new, I would say get the 9800pro. But DON"T PASS UP that deal!! :D

$75! thats an awsome deal, its still an awsome card, id get it, its not worth it too schell out the extra cash for a 9800pro

and the 9700pro, will still run everything very nicely at high res/settings
