9600XT OCing Questions

Ok ive reciently been trying to overclock my BBA 9600XT and ive got it running at 590core/682mem but i want to go the extra distance and cant find the help any where. My question is it posible to change my 4 pipelines into 8 and change the mem from 128 bit to 256 bit. If any one has any idea how or know its imposible LMK.

Running 590/682 isn't all that impossible with a good 9600XT.

Remember, 682Mhz in this case is really 341x2 (because we're talking about DDR memory speed)

The clock rates sound about right for a decent 9600XT but the others things you were wondering about I'm afraid are not possible with the XT. All I can really think of to tell you is that you could either start looking at some voltmodding for the card or to get some better cooling. I've seen many cases where people with 9600XT's would hit about 690MHz on the core with stock cooling and then throw the Giant 3 on it and hit 720-740.....it might honestly be worth your time, the Giant won't break the bank either.

It's definitely worth it, there's just a little more homework and knowhow involved. I'm basically ready for it if I ever decide to make the move so shoot me a PM if you've got some Q and A you wanna do.
