I think this problem is something fairly simple I'm overlooking.

I have an
Asus P5WD2
2x Kingston DDR2 533 1GB modules (tested on another computer)
Pentium 4 540J
2x Seagate 7200.8 Hard drives (Plugged into SATA 1 and 2)
Sony DVD/CD-RW
Floppy

I'm getting a BSOD 0x0000007b whenever Setup goes to launch windows (on three different windows install CDs).

First I tried to install windows with no driver disks, BSOD 0x0000007b
Second I tried to install with Intel 82801 RAID , BSOD 0x0000007b
Third I tried to install with Intel 82801 ACPI, BSOD 0x0000007b.

What driver am I forgetting to install, or what do I need to troubleshoot, thanks so much.

BSOD 0x0000007b is:
STOP: 0x0000007B (parameter1, parameter2, parameter3, parameter4)
INACCESSIBLE_BOOT_DEVICE

pretty sure this is not at all where this thread goes...

anyway, are these windows cds legal? i had a similar problem using burnt xp cds and was fine with official m$ cds

A simple Google search yielded 16,300 possible answers... the most obvious one is listed first... ;)

I did a bunch of google searches.

Sorry for the post in the wrong location.

The Windows CDs were legal.

The issue was that an ITE8211 driver was needed. I didn't know it, I couldn't find this information on Asus's website. I just went through every driver on the CD, installing each one until I got the right now.

Again, sorry for posting in the wrong section.
