My BFG 8800 Ultra got seems to be getting a little hot? I'm not sure if it is the fan. I tried 3 different programs (Rivatuner, SpeedFan, and EVGA Precision) to try to move the fan speed from different ranges inbetween 25% and 100% and I couldn't hear a difference. Is that how this is supposed to be? Or may the fan be dieing? This is the first time I am using it in a while
It tops out at 104c load on OCCT GPU, which is pretty damn hot. may have even gotten even hotter if I had not aborted the test because I felt anything over 100c load isn't acceptable.
While the card still may be able to operate 24/7 playing games and such because OCCT stresses the GPU out 100%, which games would never do, I would just like to see if this is a normal operating temperature for this card or should I check on something?
System specifications that I used to test out the card:
CPU: AMD 720 BE
Mobo: MSI 790FX-GD70
PSU: Corsair 850TX (Was running strong with two 4850 X-Fire and still is)
(If you need more info LMK)
IDK if I have to RMA it or not. IDK if I have the receipt. Are there any BFG techs on here that can help me with this?
Thanks for any help guys
