I just got a XFX geforce 8800GTX vid card and was wondering if my current power supply was good enough or should I get a new one.Any info is helpful.Heres my ps and comp specs.

Power supply: enermax eg465p

Comp specs

CPU : amd 4400 x2
Mobo: Abit KN8 SLI
Ram: 2 gigs ocs plat
hd:200 gig wdse
sound card:x-fi fatal1ty pro series

I think thats it...thx in advance

That PSU should be fine as long as you're not running SLi, but to be safe, I would get a 550-700 Watt PSU.

That is cutting it really close. If you start getting random reboots or all out shutdowns when trying to run any 3d games, you'll know the PS is not up to the task.Whatever you do dont OC the card.I would grab a beefier PS that is built by Seasonic,or Silverstone,or Corsair.I have one of those exact models you are using in my GF's gaming computer, but she's running a Northwood 1.6a @ 2.5 + 5900xt + 4 hd's...

Corsairs are Seasonics.
