8 bit vs 6bit?

the color pallete is much better and IMO you can see the difference depending on what you are doing.

Went from an 8 bit Dell FP1800(April2003-April2006) to a Dell FP1907 6 bit (April 2006 - Present), and the three year old Dell was MUCH BETTER in color reporduction, even though it was several generation(s) out of date

The difference is easily noticeable to me, but I swear you'd have to do a side-by-side comparison to make some people see the difference.

Whatever you do, don't buy an old 6-bit model. The dithering used to be quite awful on the TN panels a couple years ago.

Everyone should own an IPS panel type, really.
