Does anyone have a link to the latest ATi drivers for 2900XT? I'm talking about the unreleased 8.38 drivers. The best I could find was RC3.

Out of curiosity, are these drivers supposed to be better than the release drivers, performance wise?

Yes, especially with respect to antialiasing performance.

Anyone with these installed can you see if the fog issue with the Source games is gone? I'm downloading now and it is going painfully slow.

The problem of rendering of buildings has been fixed in HL2 the lighing still seems a little sketchy.
Loaded up Stalker, with all in game setting maxed and CCC set to use application settings it averages around 35ish outside and picks up to around 50ish inside fps for me at 1680x1050
Crossfire at 1680x1050 with (CCC set to 8AA 16AF) and maxed ingame settings I was grabing about 35ish FPS outside and 50ish FPS inside.
Tryed it out in crossfire at 16AA and 16AF at 1680x1050 and was getting about 22 fps with max settings.
Although the shadowing distance on the grass seemed a bit wierd to me. Havent played it on a 8800 card so dont know if it is normal.
On a personal note any one that uses Stalker as benchmark must have the patients of a fucking saint. Hats off Brent
Not that it matters 3dmark06 dropped 500 points and Lost Planet DX10 is still as broke as MC Hammer
Havent reloaded Oblivion or BF2 yet to see how they run
Over all the 3.38 RC7 drivers seem pretty solid nice performance increase and no IQ loss that these tired eyes could see. Also Crossfire seems to enable/disable alot smother now.
I would have included pictures, but I am sure by the end of the day there will be more then enough benchmarks and pictures to go around.
