I went up to gamestop to get my money back after all that BS. So i went to best buy for the hell of it, ask the dude by the games "Doom 3?" he told me to turn around, and there it was. The most beautiful site... A large display full of Doom 3 boxes... Yes. I snatched one and ran up to the counter. My server is down right now so I email pics to my friend so expect em in a few mins.

well the receipt is right there, whats not to belive? ill post pics of the disks when my server comes back online. i dont like having people host my pics when im not in control of them.
 
You need a strategy guide already? I've only used strat guides for fighting games like Killer Instinct.

My mommy bought it for me :D thats why its not on the same receipt.

plenty of them have it, its just a matter of if they're willing to sell it.

this guy was in bb with 8 copies of doom3 in his hands and he was getting swarmed by managers but he managed to buy 3 copies, heh.
 
I went to the Best Buy at Metro Center and the dude was cool enough to tell me that location doesn't even have them in the back yet. 8/2/04 he told me. Oh well.
 
BB stores are getting fined $200 for every early copy of D3 they sell.

Nice.

It all weighs out though. Extra publicity on the internet for best buy, and they're only losing ~$145 on each sale. They have plenty of other stuff to make up the difference.

that won't work, the game uses safedisc3 and even using alcohol 120% to make a clone image of it doesn't work, i doubt mr. raines has the skills required to properly crack the game.

I doubt they'll say over the phone, as I just called the one in Frederick, MD, and as we know a few people have gotten it there yet I got the standard "August 3rd" response.
 
jsut got done playing for while. its sweet as hell. man you run outa ammo quick, and too bad you cant use the flashlight and gun at the same time :( oh well. im gonna feed myself some small fixes of it throughout the day but im gonna really start it tonight when it gets dark. its just not the same in the daytime.

And no, im not ripping it for anyone.

that is standard for all best buys, no matter what product is sold early

my store in vegas got fined 1400 dollars because an employee was going into the warehouse and giving people a Twista cd that wasnt out yet. (he got fired BTW :( )
 
also guys, I dont know if they will tell you over the phone if they have it in. i called them twice last night and i got disconnected. my friend called today and had the same thing happen to him. even other people i talk to calling other stores said they are all getting hung up on. if you get disconnected when you call. there is a possibility they have it.

hahaha i just got off the phone w/ a friend of mine at the local BB and he said that "were not supposed to say anything about it, and play dumb."

damn.... that sucks, basically you wont get one unless somebody screws up :(
 
I just went to my local BB after reading this thread. The guy just winked at me and said "August 2nd." What bull...
 
LMAO, i just went to multiplay for the hell of it. and there it was a server with 4 peeps in it. they all said they got it from best buy. man its kinda cool, there is like a quad damage style thing, that like makes your screen go red, and you run faster and your shots are worth more damage, and you are like screaming in agony the whole time. its pretty cool.
