I'm considering upgrading my computer, I used a EVGA 6800GT AGP8x until my system died and I was thinking about moving up to an EVGA 7800GT PCI-E. I was wondering what kind of preformance difference I could expect, and if an ATI alternative would be better. Thanks much.

no. my 2x7800gt score around at least 30 - 40% better than 1xgtx in benchmarks. actually, my 2x7800gt scores higher than most 2x7800gtx in the 3dmark05 listings on this forum.
