750w PSUs

ok the PSU has arrived.

i have 1 question for Tt Tech before i fire this unit up.

i notice under the 14mm fan there is a stip of clear plastic.

is this normal?

although it doesnt look like it comes into contact with anything - im worried this plastic will melt.

That plastic is normal. Most PSU's have it to direct the air towards the front of the PSU before it exits out the back. Otherwise, the air would just suck a sharp corner out of the back and the components won't get cool.

I have an Xclio 450 watt psu and it is a good power supply, i believe the company makes it makes antec....im not sure if this is true for all their models but I seen on newegg.com they have a 750 watt xclio..might want to check it out :?

unfortunately Australia doesnt get the same variety of PSUs.

anyhow - this is my first TT PSU and so far so good.

powering:

3 HDD
Switftech H20 kit
9800XT - soon to be replaced by X1900
winnie 3200@2.4Ghz

but im still looking forward for a JonnyG review on this unit.
