7.3 Hotfix doesn't fix much

I have a x1600pro that will not run Vista x64 stable. I have tried installing 7.2 but the install doesn't work and now I have the hotfix 7.3 and it still restarts. The strange thing is that my computer restarts mostly when I am running firefox. Is it a problem with 7.3 or my some other part of my computer? I did install a new wireless driver at the same time that I installed the ATI drivers so I am not sure if that is part of the problem.

Most likely your wireless.

I haven't heard of any problems with the Vista64 drivers from ATI, especially not random reboots in browsers that doesn't even use the 3d part of the videocard. However, since you are using the browser, you definately use the wireless.... ;)

BTW, did you even read what the hotfix for 7.3 is supposed to fix? It's supposed to fix BSOD's in Vista on startup.....that has absolutely nothing to do with your problem...so your thread title is REALLY completely inappropriate in this case. The hotfix indeed fixes the problems it was supposed to fix.

Well, I rolled the drivers back on my wireless card and it was stable for another 30 min until I got the BSOD. I get the BSOD just not on startup. Also, when I log back in to Vista, it says that the problem was my video drivers and tells me to update at ati.com. So, any other fixes?
