i installed ATIs new drivers last night, now every time i start windows the smartgart window comes up saying something to the effect "SmartGART will not be fully functional untill it determines optimal video settings" which it takes about 1-3 minuits to do, durring which time the screen flickers and i am unable to launch any programs as it is using just about all of my video resources. is this supposed to happen every time windows starts? if so would anyone like to buy a pair of saphire 1900XTs? ive just about had it with these horrible drivers. although i hear nvidia isnt much better off.
 
It should only run once and even then generally doesn't take all that long. I'd say reinstall because something seems to be messed up.
