Got a new case today, and after the swap my PC wouldnt boot, no surprises there!

So I rechecked the connections and still nothing.

Tore it out of the case, ran just the basics and still nada.

After looking through the DFI bios debug codes to no avail I tried both a 128mb ATI card and 7900gs, both worked fine.

When booting the the 6950 I get no video output, and blinking monitor LED. It is booting into windows though, as I heard the login chime

specs in my sig under main, any ideas? And I tried the bios switch, to no avail
 
Your card is fragged. RMA.

My 6970 just fragged for no reason on me so I am in the RMA process with Sapphire right now.

Trust me. I just tried the 6970 on 3 different PCs in my home office and other rooms and its completely not working.

I also tried my Sapphire 6570 in my signature machine below and guess what ........ it worked.
 
I would double check both of the power connecters on the 6950 as I had a similar issue when one of the pcie power cords was partially dislodged.

yeah its not the pcie cables, didnt work in another system either
hopefully MSI RMA is painless
 
I have seen this before with other cards with switching them out.. i think you just need to pull the card and reset the cmos then reinstall the card as this will update the DMI data pool for the new card as your computer is still looking for your old card and why i will not post.
 
After rereading your post.. i thought you switched video cards at first and now i understand you switch out your case.. i think your issue could be one of two things.. the mother board is grounded out in some way and it can be on the mother board tray or even the usb front panal hook up..
