has anyone flashed 6800nu with 6800gt or 6800ultra bios?!
detailed feed back would be nice.. which flash util, bios, able to enable 16 pipes? artefacts?
i tried but it didnt work due to id mismatch n im bit worried about possibility of permanent artefact (since i cant change the product id in bios, i have limited ways to flash, ie. cant use nvflash). ive been gatherin information to enable 16pipes n bios flash, etc n from wat i found.
1. u can enable 16 pipes by flashin the card with 6800ultra bios. (at least on leadtek 6800nu with leadtek 6800ultra bios n leadtek flash util)
2. 16 pipes will still be active if you flash back to 6800nu bios. 4/10 (40%) success rate from wat I read.
3. there are chance of permanent artefacts after flashin back to 6800nu bios due to 16 pipes still being active n not functionin 100%.
4. new riva tuner might hav 16 pipe support via software when it gets released.
theres gotta be a way to disable extra 4 pipes again if they dont function 100% since u can enable 4 pipes through bios flash.
