Hello all, I was going to get the 6800U but a lot of people have been saying GT is a better bang for the buck. Well anyways some people have been saying it can reach and surpass Ultra speeds, can you accomplish this by stock cooling? If so, what are the chances of getting Ultra speeds?

Thanks

what you hear is correct. yes you can get up to ultra speeds with the stock cooling. and some people have been able to get up to extreme speeds also. i just got done ordering an eVGA 6800GT off of www.newegg.com priced at around $440 after shipping.and with eVGA they have a step up program. say you buy the eVGA 6800GT and later on down the road you want the 6800 Ultra..just send in the 6800GT and pay the difference between the 2 cards and theyll send you the 6800 ultra..it really is a great idea but they can end up losing some money if people take advantage of this when prices fall.
