I've found both cards at a pretty cheap price, but I would have to side with ATI this time. Their job with the Af is amazing. Although, nVidia's PS 3.0 might have a chance to win me back.

ATI does have fast performance AF, but the highest quality filtering goes to Nvidia, as the 6800 offers the option to use full trilinear filtering from the control panel unlike the x800 cards, which do a bilinear/trilinear mix.

hmmm<imagines the fun of adding another molex connector to my gt> too bad I have to wait til monday. Anyways, I was blown away when I had my x800 pro, I just got greedy and wanted a little more even if it wasn't much. 16 pipes is 16 pipes. Honestly, I'm going to miss ati's multimedia center the most. I do play mostly opengl games, but they are older(quake 3: tfc: enemy territory). Only direct x game I run is ut2k4 which is direct x7, so it looks like the 6800 fits more with me. I am not buying this card cuz it's rumored to get x% more in doom 3 or x% less hl2, but because I can run all my games today, and not have to worry too much about next gen because I'm cpu limited.
