Once every 2-4 weeks my 6800GT when rebooting displays either green or red bands down the screen, across the entire screen.

It only happens one time, ctrl-alt-del or pressing the reset button makes it go away, then it doesn't happen again for another 2-4 weeks. It has never happened during operation inside the OS.

There are no artifacts in any games or any stability problems at all. The card works flawlessly.

Just a harmless glitch made to mess with my mind?
 
happens with my G3 Ti 20064mb when i play rome sometimes, its funky, but rarely happens.
 
I've had that problem with a PNY TI4200 and it would display yellow lines vertically down my screen. I had to RMA it back to PNY twice, and got a 5600Ultra back the second time ;)
