I have my eVGA 6800GS (PCI E) overclocked at 500mhz core and 1.15 ghz memory on stock cooling and it idles around 43 degrees. Are these temps high or am I safe with my overclock?

oh yeah, those temps are just fine. as a side note though, make sure you're checking the load temperatures when you overclock, don't worry as much about the idle temps.

What would be too hot under load? Have the standard 6800GS overclocked @ 450/1200.
Never seen the temps over 69C, under load. Is that cool? Got artifacing at 525.

Not trying to crap, just been wondering the same thing?

you should be just fine at 69C. In general try and keep it <80C, or whenever you find artifacts. The 6800GS runs very cool even on stock cooling, so I wouldn't really worry about your temps.
