Believe me, I tried both blocks and NV-68 did not perform well.pcpro2 said:i have a hard time thinking the mcw50 will cool better than the DD6800 block with just heat sinks on the memory
is just a money thing is why u say go with the mcw50
i dont care about the money i just want the best possible cooling for the 6800 ultra i got
but if the mcw50 with the vantec heatsinks cool better than the DD 6800 ultra i will go with that but its hard for me to think that it willl
the DD6800 is 124.99 with 10% off at DD comes to 112.49
mcw50 with 6800 clips comes to 52 bucks then add the 14 bucks for heat sinks
68- 112 u save 44 bucks is all going with switftek
when the DD cools both

Just make sure that 6800 adapter(metal bracket)fit your MCW50. Mine was not. I have to use dremmel to make a bigger diameter. It scratched the bottom side of my MCW50. And also tried to use the black backplate that comes with 6800 adapter so your card won't bend, It has to be insulated though. You can use neoprene sheet with longer screws.pcpro2 said:thanks guys for the reply i went with the swiftech

Could you guys tell me what you were getting before and after you water cooled your 6800 cards?

420'ish/1140 before.
440/1180 after.
Innovatek GPU+Ram waterblock. Seems I need more volts, but Im not willing to flash the bios. Its 100% stable at 440, but 2-3 more Mhz and it hard locks. Temps down from 87c under load, to about 66c. Which is ironic, because that was my X800 load temp with the stock air cooler.![]()
