Hello,
I was just wondering I recently sold one of my 680's as it was overkill on my old 24inch 1080 monitor. However I recently bought a 27inch dell ultrasharp with a native resolution of 2560x1440. The 680 I kept only has 2Gb of memory on it. I have been trying to find benchmarks that show the 4Gb would suffice. Would I be better off getting a 4Gb card or just SLI'ing again? Any responses are appreciated
Thanks!

2560x1440 doesn't cause huge memory problems, you need about 14MB for each screen surface at that resolution, so even triple buffering is only 42MB. Some games do make good use of >2GB and you'll be seeing more of that over the next couple years. SLI 2GB is going to perform better over 1 4GB card for any current/near future game, if that's what you're asking. SLI 4GB + 2GB is the same as 2x2GB cards, the card with more capacity will clamp its memory down to the lower card.

awesome thanks for the replies ..... yeah looks like I am on the market for another 680 2GB. I noticed when I crank ultra graphics some of the new titles like Crysis 3 can hit pretty low FPS with just one card.
