I saw on Newegg that they have Intels with EM64. Since Intels have hypertreading better than AMD and only lacks because it is isn't 64 bit (correct me if I'm wrong here), now that it has 64 bit, will it perform better than AMDs?

Nope. First of all, 64-bit "technology" hasn't been used beyond certain Linux builds, and the beta Windows XP. So you haven't seen 64-bit at work yet.

Secondly, just like in 32-bit, the Athlon 64 performs well in different areas than the Pentium 4 does. It won't be any different when 64-bit operating systems and applications are widely used. HyperThreading is a useful iterim solution, but dual-core processors (chip multithreading) will eliminate the advantage that the Pentium 4 holds.
