Anyone else suffering from constant crashes on Black Ops?. Not sure if its the game or the drivers as I dont play any other games right now. It seems to play fine for an hour or so (maybe less) and then freezes.

I have 10.10 installed

Unfortunaly I don't have that card, but have you considered looking inside your pc case and checking if it's clogged up with dust? Maybe the system is overheating and causing problems.

Another thing is reinstall .net frameworks, amd ati/amd driver rely on that and if it becomes corrupted it can mean all kinds of crazy going on, my friends 4870x2 problems went away and it was cause by an error with .net frameworks, sometimes antivirus and antispyware have to be to install mode when installing these otherwise they can be aggresive and not let it install properly.

Did you have a different card before this? maybe driver's weren't cleaned properly.

Lastly it could be a faulty card, there was a bunch of the original 5870's that suffered from bsod.

I get the same issue's with my 5870. Temps are not an issue either. This has only been happening to me the past week or so.
 
I have a constant crash at the same point in the game MOH LE, there's nothings that seems can be done on a user end so I'm just waiting for drivers and windows updates for now. :)
 
Edit: I have my ram overclocked, but I don't believe in changing my settings to accomodate any corporations hacking my home net in any way, just advice :)

I've been having the exact same problem with Black Ops Video freeze and sound buzz hard lock up. HD 5770

Unfortunately, I made a number of changes at the same time: Q9300@ 3GHZ (Prime OK), updated vid drivers to 10.11 and swapped cases (same case as yours) so it's been tough to diagnose especially since the freeze is random at game played fine all day yesterday and froze again in the evening.

I've been playing with voltages, reinstalled sound drivers, gonna roll back vid drivers but to which ver? I will also try the .net suggestion

I'll be watching this thread and let you know what works, or doesn't... could also just be the game...
 
You can thank AMD's drivers for this. Take consolation in the fact that it would be dramatically worse if you dared to run crossfire. I can speak to that one from personal experience.
 
It has to be the drivers cause it didnt do it when Black ops first came out, think im gonna try reinstalling an older driver.
