5850 PCS+ Voltage Modding

I'm trying to bump the voltage in my BIOS but I can't seem to get it right... I read I am suppose to change the 0x17 register to my specific voltage but I get artifacting and crashing with as little as a 1.15 from the default 1.08 and to say that the clocks where not better at all with it.

Its a 5850 PCS+

Have you tried software voltage mod with MSI Afterburner?

It worked for me with a Diamond HD5850.

GPU is idleing at 50 and loading at around 70

Its just I am so confused on which register to change since this isn't a reference card. I did change the clock info 00 voltage and I was scared shitless when it didn't boot.

From my experience volt modding my 5850, the 0x17 register will only go up to 1.1125V, so going over could cause it to crash.

0x17. This is the downside to the 5850 and BIOS modding, as the 0x17 register is used for 3D, unlike the 0x18 used in the 5870. Perhaps flashing with a modified 5870 BIOS will allow you to overcome this; it's been awhile since I had my 5870 and I can't remember.
