5820k or 6800k?

I've heard that the broadwell chips are worse at overclocking. Wouldn't that make the haswell-e a better buy? Also there is a significant price difference, I can almost pay for the 16GB DDR4 from the difference. At least 2/3 of it.

My 5820k and my 6800k both do 4.3 but the 6800k runs my DDR 4-3200 ram at 3200, hits 4.3 at 1.25 instead of 1.35, and runs 8C cooler.

Probably none you could feel in performance. But my 6800k system makes me "feel" better with the lower voltages and temps and running my ram at its rated speed. :)
I guess it depends on what the system is used for.

The real world difference is around 5% for anything a normal desktop user would do.

So, if the cost savings entices you, go with the cheaper one.

If the cost difference doesn't mean much to you, go with the new chip.

Bear in mind that the silicon lottery (ability to OC the CPU and the RAM) is random unless you buy a chip that is already vetted to run at the speeds you want.

Of course it's random. That's why I want to go with the chip with the better average potential. Right now I have a quite terrible 3820, I hope I get more lucky next time.
