Just got a gainward 5900NU today and updated to 53.03 from 45.23 and well everything seemed fine and i started to OC and i'm only at 450/900 versus 400/850 which was stock. Well umm i had a few weird things happen and i think its the drivers. One thing was when playing counterstrike and i came back to desktop it was umm kinda gone. Just had the background, etc. BUT explorer didn't crash so it was strange. Then later while trying vice city i went to jump to get to the boats with the motorcycle and it umm stayed in replay mode. That has NEVER happend before. So yeah is this strange or what!? =D

Unless you have a FX card stick with 45.23s

Are the fans loud on the Gainward?

Also, did you try backing down on the OC and see if you still have the problems?

When I upgraded mine from a GF3 I uninstalled the 45.23s, reboot, ran Detonator RIP, turn off computer, installed new video card, turn on computer, installed 53.03s, reboot.

I have two tornados in my case, true they are running at about 3/4 the power and about 1/2 the noise but i still can't hear any other fans especially tiny ones on a video card! =D And no not yet. But overclocks usually cause artifacts or crashes and not a game freaking out along with my desktop. I did notice that my shell and nview dlls were still from 45.23 and i fixed that in the AM so we'll see whats up now.
