Do I understand this rule? I must have 50 posts (new threads, I would imagine) before I can begin to reply to posts? Or is that just in certain forums? (I know I should have spent more time trying to solve this myself, but I was getting frustrated:mad:, and decided this could be my first post...:p). Thank you.

50 posts is only required for participating in the For Sale / Trade forum:

(16) No BUYING, TRADING, or SELLING anywhere with the exception of the For Sale / Trade forum. The FS/T forum has its own set of specific rules and has a required 50 post minimum to participate. The HardForum Rules

There's a few other rules you should take note of there.
 
The 50 post rule is to make new members become part of the forum community and build up some contribute-worthy posts to build credibility. We had problems before this with people signing up just to post in the FS forum and many members were ripped off by these drive-by sellers.
