Hey, im trying to find 5" LCD for a project im doing right now. There was a really awsome part that was sold here part express
but unfortunnaly they decided to discontinue all there 5" LCD's so they are out of the game, Anyone know any other place that is selling for about the same price some 5" lcd?

I have found this but i am unaware if its good are not since i have not bought these before. Anyone bought a similar LCD and got it to work with the video-out and PSU?

5" lcd headrest

thx

i dunno man, i think the EASIEST way to do it is buy a ps1 lcd. they're 5 inches, have crappy built in speakers, but the picture quality, even on component video is suprisingly good. there is a way too hook it up to vga and i have the site with the wiring thingie if you want it

EDIT: oh yea, the ps1 lcds are 50ish on ebay. dunno what you want it for, might not suit your purposes, but its less than half the price of the one in your link.

TT Ownage has a PS1 lcd screen on the side of his case, he used an S-Video to RCA adapter to connect it..looked pretty cool, check it out on the Cool Cases>Gallery section

yea, unless you're plannin on putting it in the headrest of a car, i'm VERY impressed with the quality of these sony units. WArning though, people have tried other brands and found they're quality just wasn't up to that of the sony screen

some come with a power adapter or if you buy one that doesn't, i know my sony is powered by a 7.5v power adapter i picked up at walmart. i'm sure osmeone with more knowhow than i could rig it up to be powered off the 12v rail
