I was recently given 5 1u Rackmount computers. I love to learn new things and I'm proficient with Windows and Linux (I'm MCSE, CCNA, Linux+, Sun, etc etc). Anyways, here is what I'm thinking of doing so far.

1. Linux box running Asterisk (VOIP)
2. Linux box running MythTV
3. Linux box WIFI Router (can't remember the distro name atm)
4. ?
5. ?

Please give me some input!

Thanks

I already have an 8TB dual opteron file server :)

I'm very involved with the network administration part of my company, as well as engineering. I travel a LOT. I would like to set some things up that I would use while traveling.

I see you have a CCNA you might want to play with ZEBRA

You also might want to set up another Asterisk server to play with trunks and dial patterns, and some other features you will only get experiance wiht 2 asterisk servers..

put them all in a box.. and mail them to me..

they'd look good in my 52u cabinet..

:)

If the price is right I would be interested in one of the P4 2.8 units. PM me if you decide to sell them.

Thats funny because I have quite a bit of rackmount equipment I am ready to unload...what would you consider a "fair" price?
