Ok. Having the same problem as you did on this video. I have a 2015 Samsung 4K TV at home, I'll bring that video home tonight and try playing it direct from the TV and see. It might be the .TS format or the way they encode it. I have play a large variety of 4K contents on my system and this is the first one that gave it problem. Are you just checking out 4K contents in general or did you try the Samsung demo for some other reasons? I just tried the LG demo in .mp4 and the Panasonic demo in .m2ts at this site with no problem

You're right. I tested other formats from the site (mp4, m2ts) and videos are ok.

Try on tv will be grateful, get to me Samsung TV 4k 2015 (ue40ju6472) in a few days :)

You know the model ju6472 what corresponds? 6400? Are there differences?

In the US, they are 6500 flat, 6700 curved. then next model up 7100 flat 7500 curved. I had a 6500 before and now have a 7500. Drop by the Display section here, there's a thread on Samsung 2015 4K TV being used as monitors.

Sorry for the late reply. Forgot to bring the file home until now. It played fine on the JU7500 so it must be the way that Samsung encoded it.

If it's h.265 encoded, there's no dedicated hardware for that yet except the GTX 960.

I'll download the file and let you know how it runs on my machine with a GTX 960, and other machines.

EDIT: holy hell that connection is dog slow!

Yup, it's stuttering because you don't have hardware acceleration for h.265..

Video is playable but stuttering with my Core i5 2500k, fully maxed-out.

After following these instructions to use the hardware acceleration omn my GTX 960, my Core i5 is barely pegged at 5%. Video is buttery-smooth :D

Their recommendation is to buy a 960? For $200, put that toward a Samsung 4K JU6500 which is going for 700 right now. It will play on the Samsung and 4K will look far better on it than any monitor.

Well yeah, that's why people aren't really touching 4k monitors except for work and pure gaming. Finding a hardware decoder and available content on the PC is a little thin right now.

But if you have a 4k monitor and want to watch, this is the only way TODAY. Soon we will have Skylake, and I'm sure Nvidia's 14nm Pascal parts will all have support.

I just consider it a bonus feature (all my dispays are currently 1080p). The plan is to eventually install this in my HTPC some years down the road, so having fulll decode acceleration is a nice option to have (I will eventually have to replace my 2010 TV).

But since the built-in media player in the Samsung can handle H.265 playback. You can just use that till the next gen videocard is ready.
