pretty impressive numbers.

For now, at resolutions below 2560x1600, the Radeon HD 4890 has the advantage. At 2560x1600, the lines become a little more blurry. For stock hardware the GTX 285 is still the fastest thing around in most cases. But if you want to take your chances with overclocking, 30" gaming on a single AMD GPU just got a lot more potentially attractive.

Pretty damn nice for the price. It's just too bad I can't correct the dx10 HDTV v'sync 24fps issue with an ATI as I can with an NVIDIA. Otherwise I probably wouldn't have returned my 4890 and got a geforce 285s. Oh well. :(

Just got a Sapphire 4890 from eWiz for $199 after instant $20 off and $20 mail in rebate. Can't wait!

"We absolutely must caution our readers once again that these are not off-the-shelf retail parts. These are parts sent directly to us from manufacturers and could very likely have a higher overclocking potential than retail parts"

take the test with a pinch of salt as many (including myself) cannot get their cards anywhere near 950Mhz core.

Sapphire atomic 4890 will be 1ghz on the core from what I have heard. Not to bad for a oc card.

I can do 980/1150 all day with stock voltage i just can't figure how to increase the vcore of the gpu, i have a MSI OC 4890

I have my 2 XFX4890's @ 950/1200 stock cooling and all. I can bench a lil higher

my msi 4890 does 990/1050 auto tune no problem. I havn't had time to manually push it farther

I have my Sapphire cards clocked at 950/1100... temps hit 75c at full load....

I am a bit confused.... your sig shows you have a GTX 275. Are we talking about the same thing here?
