I'm goign to install my 2nd 4870 tonight. WHat things do i need to do besides plug it in and play ?
 
Not much..
Put card in, place bridge over the cards, perhaps reinstall drivers, and you're done.
 
So its common practice to reinstal drivers
1. uninstall drivers
2. instal card
3. instal drivers
4. Have fun with lock ups?
 
It's not necessary to reinstall drivers when adding a second card to get a crossfire setup running. All you need to make sure of is that your psu is powerful enough to handle the extra card. Just install the second card and boot up, catalyst control center should ask you if you want to enable crossfire x upon start of windows. Click yes and you're ready to go.
