Quick question I'm about to install my new 4870 but I was wondering if I need to install the cd that it came with or should I just dl the hotfix from the ati website?

One more thing are you guys changing the fan speeds through the xml file or some other way?
 
driver on the CD should be good enough, use either or.

use the XML file over flashing the bios unless you're really into overclocking and want to drop a vmod in there as well, also the XML edit is 100x easier.
