4870 1gig

Yes, it's a good card and will work fine in your motherboard. Brand-wise, Diamond is decent although they're a bit lacking in the customer service category.
 
Almost all HD4870s are the same, the hardware is the same, the only difference is the warranty support from the manufacturer.

That was true around a couple months ago. Most boards ARE reference boards but now companies have begun to put non-reference coolers on GPUs.
 
diamond multimedia is an american company so i buy from them as often as i can. i've also experienced their rma service, and its not the best, but it gets the job done. the last time i used them was to replace a 3870. keep your receipt of you want to get a replacement, and you'll also have to send them a $9 check for shipping purposes.
