I have tried the auto tune. it looks like its going fine. gets to the end and i get one monitor going BLACK. not a no signal. just BLACK. and one with brown vertical lines.
it maanages o get pretty high up its auto tune too.
so i figure i'll do it by hand. furmark running with NO issues. no crashing out. i oc 5mhz higher, runs fine, i close up furmark. BLAME black screen on one, brown vert on the other. Or sometimes, black on one, black and white vert on the other.
Any ideas?
I've got so far as to bump the voltage to the cores .038 per core aswell. Hasn't helped at all.
the card is watercooled. NEVER going over 55c load.

Are you also o/c'ing your vram? I know my 4850X2 would crash even if I bumped the memory 5mhz. Leave the memory at stock & just up the core speed. Mine would hit 725 on the core. You'll need RivaTuner for that. CCC maxes out at 700.

yea it seems like i can oc the mem 5 mhz. and the cpu wont budge with out doing the lockup vertical lines bit.
the pecular part is i never get artifacts with fur, it just locks to vert lines AFTER i close the rendering.. like when its switching back to 2d from 3d mode it does it.
lost cause imo. I'm gonna just ditch this card.
I thought i'd try ATI again but that was a mistake.
I've had so many issues with this card software/hardware etc. Better to kick it to the curb while its still worth doing that.

Yeah I was having some wacky problems with my 4850X2. I wound up returning it for my GTX275.
