I don't see how this would be possible but lately if I try to upload anything to my web server via ftp that is anything but a very small file, my PC freezes and I'm forced to reboot. The only thing that has really changed on my PC is the addition of the HD 4850 (had 3870). Keep trying to upload files around 10mb and my PC freezes and I gotta transfer the files to my laptop and upload with that. I thought it was the ftp client I was using but I tried another and same problem. It crashes somewhere between instantly and after uploading like 300kb.

Intel Q6660 (Tuniq Tower)
Asus Maximus Formula MB
4GB DDR2 800 Crucial Ballistix Tracers (4x1GB)
Asus HD4850
Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi Platinum
Windows Vista Business 64

Really tempted to just wipe Vista and put on 64bit XP..sigh.

That's a very strange issue. I find it hard to believe the 4850 is to blame unless there's some IRQ conflict or something.. I don't think the problem lies with Vista either - I've had experienced no lockups or freezes with the OS

The only other thing that causes that PC to freeze is when I load up an old online game from the late 90's but I let that go because its got an old crappy graphics engine even though its never crashed XP. It seems to do so randomly, say on average one out of every 3-4 tries.

I do play this game a bit though so its a pain. But now ftp uploading? I don't get it.

Note: I did upload a large video to YouTube a couple days ago so its gotta be limited to FTP.
